Air Flotation Flatness Gauge

Air flotation flatness instrument is specially designed for the precise measuring of part flatness. Air flotation gauge stand moves freely on a ceramic plate of which the flatness is less than 2 micron, the parts to be measured is put on the micro adjusting stand, adjust the supporting probe to find on the parts 3 points with the same height, these 3 points forms a reference surface for the measuring of the part, let the gauge probe contact part and move the air flotation gauge stand, the flatness of the parts will be shown on the gauge.  Since the gauge stand is floating on the ceramic plate surface, there is no wear with ceramic, theoretically,  this instrument has an everlasting precision. This instrument is especially useful for the flatness measuring  parts with very big size.
