Speed-Alloy Lapping Segments

Features  and application: 

LSTD’s Speed-alloy lapping segments are made by high quality steel through a professional procedure like forging, through harden, machining, stress relieving, de- magnetizing etc., featured with very high hardness of of up to HRC 58~62 and good thermo stable characteristic, lapping plates made with speed alloy segments will be very stable and durable, different from cast iron lapping plates, as there is no graphite inside speed alloy segments, there will not be a very dark film with the lapped parts and the lapped parts are more easier to get a shinning surface by hand polishing.

Speedf alloy lapping segments/plates are recommend to be used with loosen abrasives like alumina, silicon carbide, boron carbide etc., for the lapping of a wide range of materials like cast iron, ceramic, steel, emend carbide, copper,sapphire,aluminium etc.

Available sizes: 

24” , 32”, 36”, 48”, 64”--- Other sizes upon request  

Additional Information:

LSTD is providing lapping plate/segment assembling service,  customers just need to s end to us the base of the plate, and we will return with a  complete and new plates. 

The condition of speed alloy lapping plate is recommend to use speed alloy conditioning rings which has the  same hardness as the plate.

Customers can also choose to assemble the segments/plates by themselves, LSTD will provide all the necessary parts or material for that, like gasket, glue and screws.
